Keeping your lungs healthy should be your top priority because you’ll suffer a lot if you have difficulty breathing. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) ranks at number four as a cause of death in the U.S.

1. Green tea:

green teaDrink a warm cup of green tea before going to bed. This will release toxins from your intestine, keep your digestive system healthy and improve your lung condition. Green tea is also good with ginger, lemon or honey.

2. Lemon Juice:

Add lemon juice to a tall glass of warm water and drink it before breakfast. Lemon is full of antioxidants and folic acid to give your immune system a boost.

3. Pineapple or Cranberry juice:

Add any fresh antioxidant-rich fruit juice as an energy boosting drink between lunch and breakfast or during lunch. Avoid carbonated drinks, alcoholic beverages and dairy products if you are trying to detox your lungs.

4. Carrot Juice:  

In addition to high levels of beta-carotene and vitamin A, K, C and B, carrot juice will also contribute to improving alkalinity of the blood.  Studies have shown that a few carrots a day will significantly reduce your risk of lung cancer.

5. Ginger:
